Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using prompt1 ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Description of Service
prompt1 is a developer coaching platform that measures adherence to AI coding best practices and provides personalized feedback. The Service consists of a browser-based dashboard and a locally installed plugin that collects aggregated practice metrics.
3. Accounts & Registration
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Subscriptions & Payment
The Service offers a 14-day free trial. After the trial period, a paid subscription is required. Subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods.
5. Data Collection & Privacy
The plugin collects aggregated practice metrics only. It does not collect, store, or transmit your source code, prompt content, or Claude Code responses. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- ◆Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
- ◆Use the Service to monitor developers without their knowledge or consent
- ◆Share account credentials or allow unauthorized access
- ◆Attempt to circumvent usage limits or security measures
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, including all software, design, and documentation, is owned by prompt1 and protected by intellectual property laws. Your data remains yours — we claim no ownership of metrics collected from your usage.
8. Service Availability & SLA
We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Enterprise customers may negotiate a separate SLA. Scheduled maintenance windows will be communicated at least 48 hours in advance.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, prompt1 shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
Either party may terminate at any time. Upon termination, your access to the dashboard ceases immediately. We retain your data for 30 days post-termination, after which it is permanently deleted. You may request data export before termination.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
